U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) recently spoke with Chris Cuomo on NewsNation, emphasizing his belief that the federal government is more likely to exacerbate problems than solve them. Johnson criticized the Biden administration for its handling of various issues, including open borders, inflation, the war on fossil fuels, and the situation in Afghanistan.

Johnson expressed his frustration with the lack of effective problem-solving in Congress, stating, “the federal government doesn't solve too many problems. It exacerbates many, causes many.” He called for a more cautious approach, urging lawmakers to prioritize doing no harm.

The senator also highlighted the importance of honesty and straightforwardness in addressing the challenges facing the country, stating, “People like Putin. They're on the move because they sense weakness. So listen, I love this country. If I can help it in any way, shape or form by just being straightforward and honest.”

Regarding the Senate border negotiations, Johnson criticized the McConnell bill, which he believed would have worsened the situation at the border. He explained, “Trust me, we had no idea what McConnell had up his sleeve… It was his debacle. We had no idea till the very thing came out and it killed itself in less than 24 hours.”

Johnson's remarks shed light on his concerns about the current state of affairs in the country and his commitment to advocating for what he believes is right, even if it means going against the political tide.
