Ascension Wisconsin announced on Apr. 1 that it will hold a “Medical Mission at Home” event on Saturday, May 2, offering free healthcare and community support services to Milwaukee residents. The outreach is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Margaret Mary Elementary School, located at 3950 N. 92nd Street.
The initiative aims to provide health, healing, and hope by delivering essential care directly to those who need it most. According to Ascension Wisconsin, the event is designed as a day of service that brings together caregivers, volunteers, and community partners in an effort to address medical needs and offer spiritual support.
All services during the event will be provided free of charge with no insurance required; care will be given on a first-come, first-served basis and everyone is welcome regardless of background or circumstance.
Services available include primary care medical exams, pharmacy support through the Dispensary of Hope program, foot washing, dental screenings with fluoride treatments, respiratory care assessments, physical therapy evaluations with guided exercises, connections to local resources for ongoing assistance, spiritual care opportunities, and help scheduling follow-up appointments if needed.
The “Medical Mission at Home” program is described by Ascension as one of its signature community initiatives intended to meet individuals where they are while supporting their health and well-being with dignity and respect.
