Ascension Wisconsin announced on Apr. 1 that it will hold a “Medical Mission at Home” event in Racine on Saturday, May 2, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The outreach will take place at St. Catherine High School, located at 1200 Park Ave., and is open to everyone.

The initiative aims to bring healthcare and community support directly to those who need it most by offering a variety of services without cost or insurance requirements. Care will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

According to Ascension Wisconsin, the event is designed as “a day of service focused on health, healing and hope,” bringing together caregivers, volunteers and community partners to provide compassionate care and spiritual support along with access to essential resources.

Attendees can receive primary care medical exams, pharmacy support through the Dispensary of Hope, foot washing services, respiratory care assessments and physical therapy evaluations with guided exercises. Additional offerings include connections with local resources, opportunities for spiritual care and help scheduling follow-up appointments if needed.

Ascension describes Medical Mission at Home as one of its signature community initiatives intended “to meet individuals where they are and support their health and well-being with dignity and respect.” More information about the program can be found at ascension.org/medicalmission.
