Rep. Barbara Dittrich, a Republican representing Wisconsin’s 99th House district, marked the beginning of April by highlighting several national awareness campaigns and appreciation days through her social media posts.
On April 1, 2026, Dittrich posted about National Child Abuse and Prevention Month. She wrote, “April is National Child Abuse and Prevention Month. Strong families are what make our country so great and it is everyone’s responsibility to ensure every child has a chance to grow in a safe environment. Later that day, Dittrich addressed Distracted Driving Month in another post dated April 1, 2026. She stated, “This month we acknowledge Distracted Driving Month. Distracted driving is both dangerous and preventable. PLEASE help protect yourselves and those around you by staying focused behind the wheel. Did you know that the time it takes to send or read a text is about 5 seconds? At 55 https://t.co/EEIbSc4aIQ”.
In a third post on the same date, she recognized Paraprofessional Appreciation Day by saying, “It is also Paraprofessional Appreciation Day! We celebrate those individuals who go above and beyond in helping out students achieve great things in the classroom. https://t.co/xCLoDMT3G4”.
Dittrich was elected to the Wisconsin State House in 2025 to represent the state’s 99th House district, succeeding Cindi Duchow.
