Rep. Barbara Dittrich, a Republican representing Wisconsin’s 99th House district, has used her social media platform in mid-February 2026 to highlight several national observances and share information with her constituents.
On February 14, Dittrich posted about National Donor Day, encouraging awareness and participation in organ donation. She wrote, “Today is National Donor Day! We celebrate those individuals who made the sacrifice to help those in need. It is so important that we honor these individuals but also ensure that we continue to spread awareness. Please consider registering as a donor and being someone’s second https://t.co/yP7RQTBpjU”.
The following day, February 15, Dittrich acknowledged National Wisconsin Day by sharing a historical fact about the state’s symbol. In her post she stated, “It’s National Wisconsin Day! There are so many reasons to celebrate our great state. Did you know Wisconsin’s state symbol, the Badger, doesn’t refer to the animal? It refers to our rich mining past! You can find out more unique facts about our great state at the link below: https://t.co/jjGHUDkZre”.
On February 16, she recognized Presidents’ Day by providing background on the holiday’s origins and noting changes in government operations for the day. Dittrich wrote, “Originally combining the celebration of both Lincoln’s & Washington’s birthdays, Presidents’ Day now celebrates all who have held the highest executive office in our land. There will be no mail delivery today, and state and federal offices as well as banks are closed. Happy https://t.co/TK920ob908”.
Barbara Dittrich was elected to the Wisconsin State House in 2025 after succeeding Cindi Duchow as representative for the 99th district.
