Rep. Barbara Dittrich, a Republican member of the Wisconsin State House representing the 99th district, posted several messages on her Twitter account in early May 2026 highlighting Small Business Week, Teacher Appreciation Week, and a cultural celebration.
On May 3, Dittrich acknowledged the significance of small businesses in Wisconsin’s economy. She wrote: “The first week of May (3rd – 9th) is Small Business Week! My husband & I are PROUD to be former small business owners. Small businesses are an enormous part of Wisconsin’s economy, comprising 99.4% of all businesses in the state and employing 1.2 million people!” (May 3, 2026).
The following day, she marked a pop culture event with a message directed at fans of the Star Wars franchise: “Happy May 4th, you nerds! #maythefourthbewithyou” (May 4, 2026).
Later on May 4, Dittrich recognized Teacher Appreciation Week with a message supporting educators and their communities: “It’s that week that students and their families do something special for their teacher(s) each day. But how can we ever thank our educators enough? I hope that this Teacher Appreciation Week brings lots of smiles to Wisconsin’s teachers and the families who love them! “ (May 4, 2026).
Dittrich was elected to the Wisconsin State House in 2025 to represent the state’s 99th House district after Cindi Duchow. Her recent social media activity reflects her engagement with both economic issues relevant to her constituents—such as support for small businesses—and community events like Teacher Appreciation Week.
