On May 21, Rep. Dittrich announced that her proposed legislation for a school-centered mental health pilot program, known as AB 260, will be discussed in an upcoming bicameral hearing. She stated: “Next week Tuesday, my legislation initiating a school centered mental health pilot program, AB 260, will have a bicameral hearing of the Committees on Mental Health and Substance Abuse Prevention Prevention at 10 AM in 417N (GAR Hall).” This hearing is scheduled to take place at GAR Hall.
On May 22, she highlighted her engagement with constituents during the biennial budget discussions. In her tweet, she mentioned: “As we work our way through the biennial budget, we are paying attention to concerns that constituents have raised as priorities.” She reiterated her support for the Knowles-Nelson Stewardship Program based on feedback from listening sessions with constituents.
Later that day, Rep. Dittrich addressed a somber issue regarding an incident at UW-Platteville. She expressed her condolences stating: “I have been holding off on commenting on the terrible situation at UW-Platteville this week because I didn’t want to get ahead of the news, but I can no longer wait.” She extended her thoughts and prayers to the families affected by this tragedy.
