Milwaukee men’s basketball head coach Bart Lundy has been recognized as one of the 25 finalists for the 2024-25 Skip Prosser Man of the Year award, according to an announcement made by organization officials on Thursday. Lundy is currently in his third season with the Panthers and will lead his team into the quarterfinals of the 2025 Barbasol Horizon League Championship against Oakland.

Lundy’s tenure with Milwaukee has been marked by significant achievements, including leading the team to three consecutive seasons with over 20 wins. This accomplishment marks a first in nearly two decades for the program and establishes him as the only head coach to achieve such success in his initial three years.

The Skip Prosser Man of the Year award is presented annually by CollegeInsider.com to a Division I coach who demonstrates integrity both on and off the court. The award commemorates coaches who excel in their profession while maintaining moral standards.

Skip Prosser, for whom the award is named, had a notable career with a record of 291-146 over 14 seasons, which included stints at Xavier and Loyola (Md.). During his time at Wake Forest, he led teams that averaged 21 wins per season and achieved several milestones before his untimely passing on July 26, 2007.

The selection process for this prestigious award involves a committee comprising current and former head coaches along with senior staff members from CollegeInsider.com. The winner will be announced during the men’s Division I Basketball Championship held in San Antonio, Texas.
