A new documentary about Bob Uecker is set to open in Marcus Theatres across Wisconsin on July 24, according to a May 22 announcement. The film, which was previously shown at the Milwaukee Film Festival, now has its first statewide theatrical release date and a new trailer available for viewing.

The documentary provides an intimate look at Uecker’s life in baseball and beyond. Filmmakers from the Milwaukee-based production studio The September Club began following Uecker during Spring Training in 2023 and continued filming for nearly two years. Throughout this period, Uecker allowed filmmakers access to his family, colleagues, and Brewers players.

According to the release, “With his cooperation at every step before he passed away in January 2025, this is the definitive Uecker documentary.” The film combines archival footage with contemporary scenes depicting daily life and includes personal moments such as when Uecker shared his lung cancer diagnosis with friend Christian Yelich.

Additional details regarding specific theaters and showtimes are expected to be announced soon.
