Grace Kline of the Milwaukee women’s cross country and track and field teams was recognized on Apr. 22 as a member of the 2025-26 Lubar 25, an honor that highlights University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee business students for academic excellence, entrepreneurship, community service, and campus involvement.
The recognition is given to undergraduate business majors who are juniors or seniors with at least a 3.00 grade point average and who have not been previously named to the Lubar 25 in the prior year.
Kline has combined rigorous academics with her role as a Division I student-athlete, balancing competitive cross country and track with leadership activities and professional development. “Grace has built a dynamic college experience that blends academic rigor, Division I athletics and hands-on human resources experience. As a student-athlete, she brings discipline, time management and resilience to everything she does, balancing the demands of competitive cross country and track with leadership and professional development,” according to information from the Lubar 25 website.
Her work experience includes supporting talent development initiatives at GE HealthCare through an internship focused on supply chain operations improvements. She also completed an HR internship at a regional bank where she contributed to onboarding processes, recruitment efforts, compliance tasks, and led an employee data audit project.
On campus, Kline serves as president of the Society for Human Resource Management chapter where she creates opportunities for students to connect with professionals. She represents student-athletes in campus leadership roles while participating in organizations that promote well-being. The Milwaukee Panthers women’s track and field team competes in both indoor and outdoor events throughout their season according to the official website. The team is part of NCAA Division I athletics within the Horizon League as indicated by university sources.
The Panthers’ program supports student-athletes like Kline in managing both academic responsibilities and athletic commitments as noted by university officials. The team contributes significantly to Milwaukee’s athletic legacy while operating out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin according to its official page.
