With just days remaining before the Nov. 8 election, Vice President Kamala Harris, made a campaign stop in Milwaukee Thursday to speak at the Democratic Attorneys General Association Conference.

“Today marks 50 days until the midterm elections,” Harris said in a tweet Sept. 19. “Let’s make every moment count. Volunteer to talk to voters. Make sure your friends and neighbors are registered to vote and remind them what’s at stake in November.”

The trek marks the second for Harris to Milwaukee this year and the third since she was elected, according to Fox 6 Milwaukee. During a visit in January, Harris focused on discussions about replacing the lead pipes in the water system and other infrastructure needs. She also toured the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee campus in May 2021.

President Joe Biden also visited Wisconsin earlier this month and spoke at a Labor Day festival, according to Fox 6.

Biden and Harris have the support of Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers, who is running for reelection in November against GOP opponent, Tim Michels, Fox 6 reported.

Republican Sen. Ron Johnson is also on the ballot, challenged by Mandela Barnes, the current lieutenant governor, and Democratic Attorney General, Josh Kaul, is set to face off against Republican Eric Toney, the district attorney for Fond du Lac County.
