Milwaukee’s men’s soccer team has announced the signing of ten new players for the upcoming fall season. Among them are Nic Diana from Grayslake, Illinois, and Alejandro Zuniga from Naples, Florida, who have already joined the team for the spring semester. The remaining eight players will arrive on campus later this summer.
Head coach Kris Kelderman expressed his enthusiasm about the new recruits: “We are very happy to have this group of individuals joining the Panther program this Fall,” he said. “This group brings us quality players and young men that have all played important roles in their previous teams. We are confident they will have a positive impact and look forward to seeing how quickly they can get integrated into our program.”
The incoming class includes Jack Bretzmann from New Berlin, Wisconsin; Paul Denz from Laufenburg, Germany; Kellen Diercks from Oregon, Wisconsin; Pavle Ivkovic from Willowbrook, Illinois; Fernando Pirry from Córdoba, Spain; Miguel Rivera Cardona from Santiago De Cali, Colombia; Ollie Weir from Falkirk, Scotland; and Dominic Zuñiga from Wichita, Kansas.
Each player brings a wealth of experience and accolades to Milwaukee’s team. For example, Nic Diana was named Horizon League Defensive Player of the Week in 2024 and led in goals-against average with six shutouts. Alejandro Zuniga has been recognized as an ECC first-team all-conference player at Daytona State College.
Coach Kelderman emphasized the balance of experience and positions among the recruits: “It’s a nice balance of experience and positions that we feel will greatly influence our group both on and off the field.” He concluded by welcoming these athletes to what he calls “the Panther Family.”
