The Milwaukee track and field teams participated in a packed weekend of competitions, taking part in the Green & White Invite and the Gibson Invitational.

At the Green & White Invite hosted by Wisconsin Lutheran, Brooke Crosby emerged as a standout performer, securing victories in both the 100m hurdles and 400m hurdles. Crosby completed the 100m hurdles in 14.45 seconds and returned later in the event to claim first place in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:09.20. Katie Sciarini also performed well, finishing third in the 100m hurdles with a time of 16.14 seconds.

Lilly Wepking achieved a personal best in the 100m dash, earning a runner-up position with a time of 12.52 seconds. The men’s team showed strong performances in the 1500m run, with Harper Fahey posting a career-best of 4:08.32. He was closely followed by Trey Meier, Zach Moss, and Aidan Sosnowski, who took the subsequent positions.

In the women’s 1500m race, Grace Kline secured third place at 5:15.54, with teammates Rylan Oberg and Rohan Flanagan finishing fourth and seventh, respectively. Leah Handshoe captured first place in the 400m dash with a time of 57.90 seconds, with Victoria Evtimov coming in second. Isabel Roloff completed the 200m dash in second place with a time of 25.70 seconds. Among the men, Jackson Statz and Wade Duffek finished third in the 400m dash and fifth in the 800m run, respectively.

Meanwhile, the Gibson Invitational at Indiana State’s facility in Terre Haute, Indiana, welcomed its first day of events. In the heptathlon, Anna Szepieniec stood in 11th place with 2,759 points, with her best performance in the 100m hurdles. Kallie Volk had accumulated 2,196 points across three events, matching her personal best in the high jump before missing the start in the 200m dash. Jane Kautz finished the first day collecting 1,446 points.

Nick O’Halloran participated in the decathlon, gathering 2,310 points by the end of the day. The decathlon and heptathlon continue on Friday morning. On the same day, selected distance runners from the team are set to compete in the 10000m run at the Phil Esten Challenge in La Crosse.
