The latest episode of “PounceCast,” a podcast dedicated to Milwaukee Panther Athletics, is now available. Hosted by Matt Menzl, the podcast offers insights and stories from members of the Panther community.
This episode features Kyle Rechlicz, head coach of the Milwaukee women’s basketball team. Rechlicz, who was named Horizon League Coach of the Year in 2016, is entering her 13th season with the team for the 2024-25 season. The team recently concluded a successful season with 16 wins and secured the fifth seed in the 2024 Horizon League Women’s Basketball Championship.
Under Rechlicz’s leadership, Milwaukee has achieved three 20-win seasons over seven years, marking a record in the program’s NCAA Division I history. Her tenure has also seen 11 All-Conference selections along with several All-Defensive and All-Freshman honorees.
The Milwaukee Athletic Department launched this monthly podcast series in January 2023 to provide more content and share stories from within its athletics community.
Past episodes have featured various figures associated with Milwaukee Athletics, including volleyball head coach Susie Johnson, men’s basketball head coach Bart Lundy, track & field head coach Andrew Basler, and others involved with different sports programs at Milwaukee.
