Isaiah Dorceus from Orlando, Florida, has joined the Milwaukee men’s basketball team and will play for the Panthers in the upcoming season, according to an announcement by head coach Bart Lundy.

Dorceus transfers to Milwaukee after two successful seasons at Daytona State College in Daytona Beach, Florida.

“Isaiah is a great player and an even better young man,” Lundy stated. “He is a perfect fit for our program and the University. He is a tireless worker and a player who is hungry to be the best. I’m excited to coach him and our fans will be excited to see him play.”

During the past winter, Dorceus was recognized as the FCSAA Division I Men’s Basketball Player of the Year, leading the Falcons to a 28-6 overall record and reaching the Elite Eight of the NJCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship.

The sophomore guard, standing 6-foot tall and weighing 180 pounds, was named an NJCAA Division 1 First Team All-American. He averaged 14.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 3.8 assists across 32 games, all of which he started. Dorceus achieved a 47.0 percent field goal rate, 39.5 percent from three-point range, and 75.0 percent from the free-throw line.

Additionally, he was named the Citrus Conference Player of the Year and First-Team All-League, and he played a key role in the team’s Citrus Conference Championship win with a 14-2 league record.

Throughout his two-year college career, his team qualified for the NJCAA National Tournament both seasons, achieving a 28-4 record in his first year and a combined 56-10 over two seasons. As a freshman, he averaged 10.0 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game.
