Milwaukee – The Milwaukee men’s basketball program announced its 2024-25 non-conference schedule today, featuring contests against four teams that played in the postseason last year, the “Cream City Challenge” at home, as well as participation in the “MKE Tip Off” at Fiserv Forum.

The Panthers will take on NCAA participants Duquesne and Longwood on the road, Akron in a neutral-site matchup, and will also travel to a Central Florida squad that played in the National Invitation Tournament a year ago. In all, MKE will battle five teams that won at least 19 games.

Game times and broadcast information will be announced at a later date.

The Panthers kick off the new campaign at home, tipping off the season by hosting Lakeland on November 4.

The next game sees the team hit the road, taking on Northern Iowa for the first time since 2013. UNI went 19-14 last year and advanced to the semifinals of the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament. Ben Jacobsen, a five-time MVC Coach of the Year, has taken his Panthers to four NCAA Tournament appearances and recorded four NCAA victories. That game will take place on November 7.

That contest is the first of three straight on the road, continuing with a trip to Virginia to take on Longwood on November 13, which is coming off a 21-14 season culminating in a trip to the NCAA Tournament.

Six days later, it’s off to Pittsburgh to take on a Duquesne squad on November 19 that posted a 25-12 record last year, highlighted by a trip to the second round of the NCAA Tournament after an upset of BYU as an #11 seed in its opening round matchup.

The team then returns home for the “Cream City Challenge,” welcoming Portland State on November 22, Wofford on November 23, and St. Thomas on November 24. All three teams won at least 17 games last winter, with the Tommies going 20-13 overall.

The team returns to the road for Thanksgiving week to take on Central Florida on November 27 before traveling to battle Southern Miss on November 30. UCF recorded 17 wins last year and played in the NIT while Milwaukee’s contest in Hattiesburg will mark their first-ever road game against Southern Miss.

December opens with Horizon League play: Cleveland State at home December 5 and Green Bay away December 11 before Milwaukee closes out their non-league slate.

This concludes with participation in the “MKE Tip Off” at Fiserv Forum December 15 against Akron. The Zips went 24-11 last season and advanced to the NCAA Tournament.

The non-conference schedule ends with a home game against North Central (Ill.) December 22.

Season tickets for the upcoming season went on sale this summer. Fans can purchase tickets online or by calling (414)229-5886. Season ticket memberships start from $99.
