The Milwaukee men’s track and field team showcased a strong performance at the 12th annual Tierney Classic, held at the Klotsche Center on Saturday. The Panthers achieved seven first-place finishes during the event.

“The Tierney Classic is an electric home event,” said head coach Andrew Basler. “With many alumni back, the honoring of our seniors, and performing in front of family, I think that electricity brought out many great performances today. Thanks to all those who helped organize and run this successful home event.”

Divine Aniamaka, competing as an unattached athlete, set a new Tierney Classic record and tied the Klotsche Center record in the triple jump with a distance of 15.75 meters, winning by over a meter.
