Following a recent stretch where the Milwaukee men’s soccer team achieved regional ranking for the first time in three years, they aim to start a new winning streak. After going 0-1-1 last week, the Panthers will face Cleveland State this Saturday at 7 p.m. The match will be held at home with live statistics available on Milwaukee’s website.

The Panthers have historically performed well against Cleveland State, holding a 27-21-6 record since their series began in 1973. However, recent encounters have been more challenging for Milwaukee under head coach Kris Kelderman, who has a 3-7-3 record against CSU. Last year, the Vikings secured a 4-3 victory and are unbeaten in their last seven meetings with Milwaukee.

Cleveland State ended last fall with a 3-9-5 record but was ranked second in this year’s preseason poll. Key players include Pablo Kawecki and Kyle Folds, both recognized for their performances in the league. Bojan Kolevski returns after an injury-shortened season as they seek to improve their current standing of 4-5-3 overall and tied with Milwaukee at 1-3-1 in league play.

Milwaukee has shown offensive strength recently, scoring multiple goals in four of their past seven games. Asher Ozuzu and Alejandro Martinez have been standout performers, each recording multiple goals in several matches this season.

The Panthers’ upcoming schedule includes a non-conference game against Louisville next Tuesday at 6 p.m. CT.
