The Milwaukee Panthers men’s cross country team began their season at the Tom Barry Invitational hosted by St. Norbert in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The team secured third place with a total of 74 points and had three runners finish in the top ten.
Cullen Boyle led the Panthers, finishing fourth with a time of 19:07.2, improving his performance by nearly 46 seconds compared to last year’s event. Sam Schreiber finished seventh at 19:16.3, while Will Whiteis took eighth place with a time of 19:20.2.
Aidan Sosnowski completed the race in 20:01.9, improving his previous year’s time by 21 seconds. Harper Fahey was the final scorer for Milwaukee, crossing the line at 20:27.2.
“It was exciting to get our 2025-26 campaign started today,” head coach Andrew Basler noted. “Coach Schultz had a very specific race plan for both the men and women, and I thought they executed that plan.”
“Comparison can be the thief of joy but looking at where the group was last season at this meet, we are collectively in a much better spot,” Basler concluded.
The Panthers are scheduled to compete again on Saturday, September 6, when they return to Green Bay for the Phoenix Open.
