Milwaukee Public Schools extends wishes for a safe and enjoyable Fourth of July to students, families, staff, and the entire Milwaukee community. The holiday commemorates the Founding Fathers’ ratification of the Declaration of Independence and their efforts to secure freedom from Great Britain.

All MPS schools, sites, and the Central Services building will be closed on Thursday, July 4, in observance of the holiday. Additionally, all Summer Academy classes and summer meal programs will be closed on Friday, July 5.

“Have a wonderful weekend!”
