Milwaukee School District Education: 66,864 students were enrolled in schools in 2023-24 school year

There were 66,864 students enrolled in Milwaukee School District schools in the 2023-24 school year, 0.9% less than the previous year, according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2023-24 school year, 51.5% of them were boys, and 0% were girls.

Data also shows that most of the students were Male, accounting for 51.5% of the Milwaukee School District total enrollment.

Among the 156 schools in the Milwaukee School District, HAPA-Hmong American Peace Academy K3-12 recorded the highest enrollment of 1,894 students in the 2023-24 school year.

Nearly 830,000 students were enrolled in Wisconsin schools in the 2021-22 school year. This is a 0.85% decrease from the year before. In sharp contrast to declining public school figures, enrollment in charter schools rose 4.5% to more than 52,000.
