The Milwaukee swimming and diving teams are set to compete in their final dual meet of the season this Friday at Stevens Point. The event will take place at the UWSP Aquatics Center, starting at 5:00 p.m.

The women’s team holds a 3-1 record in dual meets this season, while the men’s team aims to finish above .500, currently standing at 2-2.

In their last outing on January 25th, the women’s team achieved a comprehensive victory against Green Bay, winning all 16 events with a score of 235.5-64. Gabrielle LePine was named Horizon League Swimmer of the Week after winning both the 100 breaststroke (1:02.63) and the 100 freestyle (52.30). Janelle Schulz secured victories in the 200 freestyle (1:55.44) and the 200 individual medley (2:09.86), while Erika Thomas claimed first place in both the 1000 freestyle (10:35.05) and 100 butterfly (58.89). Julie Rebek excelled on both diving boards with scores of 272.48 in the 3m dive and 264.98 in the 1m dive.

Other winners included Mara Freeman in the 100 backstroke, Skylar Ruggles in the 200 backstroke, Maddi Hayashi in the 200 butterfly, Nadia Switalski in the 200 breaststroke, Carly Plate in the 50 freestyle, and Lilly Nesson in the 500 freestyle.

The men’s team also impressed with a decisive win over Green Bay by securing victories in twelve out of sixteen events with a score of 200-92.5. A highlight was set by Jay Jensen, Charlie House, Jackson Ahrens, and Gunnar Seversen who established a Klotsche Natatorium record during their performance in an “800 freestyle relay” clocking “a time of” “6:41.82.” Seversen earned Horizon League Swimmer of Week honors for his wins in both “the” “1000” “(9:25.09)” “and” “500” “(4:40.”32)” freestyles.”

Caleb Carlisle topped both butterfly events with times of “(58.”89)” for ‘the’ ‘100’ ‘and’ ‘(1:’51.’33)’ for ‘the’ ‘200’. Andrew Jones won titles for ‘the’ ‘100’ ‘(57.’40)’ ‘and’ ‘(2:’09.’58)’ breaststrokes.”

On diving boards,” Ben Stitgen excelled with top performances scoring”(274.’95’)”‘in”the”1m”dive”and'(300.”30′)'”in”the”3m’dive.’

Additional winners were Jay Jensen securing first place within “‘(1:”44.”40’)”for’the”‘200freestyle’,andBenLorenzwithatimeof”(20.’67’)”inthe50freestyle.”
