The Milwaukee VA is set to hold a wreath-laying ceremony at Wood National Cemetery in honor of National Vietnam War Veterans Day. Although the official day falls on March 29, the local observance will occur on March 28.

The event is scheduled for 10 a.m. near the obelisk monument within the cemetery, located at 5000 W. National Ave., Milwaukee. The media are invited to attend and should arrive by 9:45 a.m.

The ceremony will take place outdoors and aims to honor veterans who served during the Vietnam War era. Attendees are reminded to respect cemetery protocols by not sitting, kneeling, standing, or placing items on headstones.

Media representatives can access parking via Mitchell Boulevard and Walker Street after entering from I-94.
