The Milwaukee women’s soccer team has announced its schedule for the 2025 season, which includes challenging non-conference matchups and in-state rivalries. Third-year head coach Kevin Boyd shared the details of the upcoming campaign, highlighting games against NCAA National Champion North Carolina and three other teams that were nationally ranked and participated in the NCAA Tournament in 2024.

In 2024, the Panthers achieved a record of 12-7-2 and went nearly undefeated in Horizon League play with a 9-0-1 record. They led their conference statistically across multiple categories and secured eight shutouts over ten matches. The team’s performance also placed them among national leaders in scoring offense, points per game, and assists per game. Notably, Lainey Higgins was named Horizon League Player of the Year, Parker Donahugh received Goalkeeper of the Year honors, and Kayla Rollins was recognized as Horizon League Offensive Player of the Year.

The 2025 season begins with two exhibition matches: a home game against Loyola Chicago on August 3 and an away match at UIC on August 9. The regular season kicks off with an away game against Wisconsin on August 14. Milwaukee’s home opener is scheduled for August 17 against Northern Iowa at Engelmann Stadium.

Following these initial games, Milwaukee will face city rival Marquette at home on August 21 before traveling to Michigan State on August 24. The team will then host Northwestern on August 28.

A significant challenge awaits Milwaukee when they travel to face North Carolina on August 31. The Tar Heels ended last season as national champions with a record of 22-5-0.

Milwaukee continues its tough schedule by playing Minnesota away on September 5 before returning home to host SIUE on September 14.

Conference play begins with away games against Robert Morris on September 18 and Youngstown State on September 21. The Panthers’ first home conference games are set for September 25 against Purdue Fort Wayne and September 28 against Northern Kentucky.

October starts with three consecutive road games: Cleveland State (October 4), Detroit Mercy (October 9), and Oakland (October 12). Milwaukee concludes its regular-season schedule with three home matches against IU Indianapolis (October 16), Wright State (October19), and Green Bay (October29).

The Horizon League Tournament will commence shortly after the conclusion of the regular season.
