The Milwaukee Panthers secured a crucial victory against the Wright State Raiders, winning 88-80 in overtime at the UWM Panther Arena. The game saw Themus Fulks deliver an impressive performance with a double-double, scoring 21 points and dishing out 12 assists without any turnovers. This achievement marked the second-most assists in a game without a turnover in school history.

Despite trailing by as many as 14 points early on, the Panthers rallied back, closing the first half with a 22-7 run to lead by one point at halftime. Head coach Bart Lundy praised his team for their resilience and ability to overcome challenges presented by what he described as “the best offensive team in our league.”

Key contributions came from Jamichael Stillwell with 15 points and eight rebounds, AJ McKee who added 12 points, Aaron Franklin’s significant bench performance of 11 points and four rebounds, and Kentrell Pullian’s ten-point effort along with six rebounds. John Lovelace Jr. also played an essential role defensively during his time on the court.

For Wright State, Brandon Noel led with a game-high of 25 points. The Raiders managed to push the game into overtime but were unable to maintain momentum against Milwaukee’s strong start in extra time.

Milwaukee finished shooting an even 50 percent overall and won key battles such as rebounding and points in the paint. Their next challenge is against Northern Kentucky at home on Sunday where they will celebrate the anniversary of their “Sweet 16” team from the 2004-05 season.
