Recently, the Panthers competed against IU Indianapolis. The women’s team secured a victory with a score of 213-84, winning 11 individual events and both relays. Janelle Schulz excelled with wins in the 50 and 100 freestyles, as well as contributing to relay victories. Maddi Hayashi also performed well with wins in the butterfly events and participation in a winning relay team. Other notable performances included Erika Thomas, Nadia Switalski, Gabrielle LePine, Julie Rebek, Therese Missiaen, Mara Freeman, and Skylar Ruggles.

The men’s team was defeated 200-100 but achieved three individual wins. Gunnar Seversen won the 1000 freestyle; Ben Lorenz took first in the 50 freestyle; Charlie House won the 100 freestyle.

Next on their schedule is the IU Indianapolis House of Champions Meet from November 21 to November 23.

Against UIC, Milwaukee holds an advantage in past encounters. The women’s team leads their series 27-8 after last year’s win of 157-143. The men’s team has an all-time record of 18-17-1 following last year’s victory over UIC. Currently, UIC’s men’s team holds a record of 1-1 this season while their women’s team stands at 0-2.

Key figures for UIC include diving coach Susan Bromberg and divers Harrison Nolan and Christian Curtis. On the women’s side, Ciara McCliment returns as MVC Diver of the Year along with All-MVC honoree Kendra Preski.

Milwaukee will then face Wheaton College where they have historically dominated both men’s and women’s matchups. Last year saw the Panthers’ women win by a score of 125-72 while the men triumphed with a scoreline of 132-68.

Wheaton’s men are currently winless this season but bring back Isaac Eilmes among others who had strong performances last year. Their women’s team enters with two victories this season and features returning champions Katie Yonan and Tess Boyer.
