Principal’s Updates

I can’t believe it is March already!  This week’s weather aside, spring is right around the corner!  Before launching into updates and reminders, I just want to thank everyone who participated in sending roses to Alcott staff for Valentine’s Day.  I can’t believe it is March already!  This week’s weather aside, spring is right around the corner!  Before launching into updates and reminders, I just want to thank everyone who participated in sending roses to Alcott staff for Valentine’s Day.  The gesture was incredibly thoughtful and deeply appreciated by all!

In this month’s newsletter, you will find information about Multicultural Night, Math Night, MCAS and more.

Multicultural Night: This is just a reminder that Alcott’s Multicultural Night is next week!  Please join us from 5-7pm on Thursday, March 9th in celebrating the diversity of our community.  Families are invited to share a favorite food dish, make a Family Heritage Display or take part in a cultural show with a song or dance performance.  Let the PTG know you are interested in participating by completing the following form: https://forms.gle/gxYfUjf8B72WQ7879

Math Night: Our annual Math Night is in March as well.  Hosted by the PTG, this event takes place on March 30th from 4:30-6:00.  We hope you will join us for an afternoon/evening of fun math activities inspired by famous mathematicians like Ada Lovelace and Katherine Johnson.

Book Fair: March is just filled with special events, with our annual book fair taking place from March 27th through March 31st.  Your child’s teacher will share specific information later in the month as to the date and time their class will be visiting the fair.  The book fair will also be open for families to visit during Math Night on March 30th.
