Senator Ron Johnson, a Republican from Wisconsin, has raised concerns on social media regarding the publication and transparency of scientific studies related to vaccines and chronic illnesses. In a series of posts published in early September 2025, Johnson discussed the withholding of a study comparing health outcomes between vaccinated and unvaccinated children.

On September 4, 2025, Johnson posted: “Oops, I meant to say the study was completed in 2020, not 2000 — it’s been withheld for 5 years.”

The following day, Johnson addressed challenges facing federal health agencies and their leadership: “.@SecKennedy’s main challenge is restoring integrity and credibility to science and to the federal health agencies. He’s up against powerful forces who do not want to know the root causes of chronic illness or autism. The good news is that the American people want to know.” This statement was made on September 5, 2025.

Later that same day, Johnson promoted an upcoming hearing focused on the aforementioned study: “Tune into next Tuesday’s hearing with @AaronSiriSG to discuss a withheld study comparing vaccinated and unvaccinated children. The findings show that vaccinated children are more likely to suffer from chronic illness. The study was completed in 2020 but never published since the”

Senator Johnson has previously won multiple elections in Wisconsin. In 2022, he secured re-election by defeating Mandela Barnes with 50.4% of the vote compared to Barnes’s 49.4%. Earlier victories include defeating Russ Feingold in both the 2016 (50.2% vs. 46.8%) and 2010 (51.9% vs. 47%) general elections.

These recent statements come amid ongoing debates about vaccine safety and transparency within federal health institutions.
