Sen. Patrick Testin, a Republican representing Wisconsin’s 24th Senate district since 2017, has recently addressed several issues through his social media posts, including legislative actions and recognition of military families.
On March 29, 2026, Testin expressed gratitude for service members by stating, “We are forever in debt to your service.”
The following day, March 30, he commented on the governor’s decision regarding his proposed legislation: “I am disappointed the governor has vetoed my legislation that would have banned medical and research facilities in Wisconsin from using genetic software produced by a foreign adversary of the United States. Senate Bill 649 would have also prohibited the storage of any human”.
On March 31, Testin highlighted an annual observance: “I want to make sure everyone is aware that April is designated as the Month of the Military Child. Established in 1986 by former Secretary of Defense Caspar Weinberger, the Month of the Military Child recognizes and honors the sacrifices and resilience of children in military”.
Testin was elected to his current office in 2017 after succeeding Howard Marklein. As a member of the Wisconsin State Senate, he has been involved in various legislative initiatives and public acknowledgments related to both state policy and community recognition.
