Sen. Patrick Testin has recently highlighted legislative efforts concerning the welfare of military veterans and service members in a series of posts on his social media account.

On February 17, 2026, Testin stated, “In 2017, I authored legislation that created the Wisconsin Green Alert system, a specialized notification program that is designed to quickly locate missing, at-risk military veterans or active-duty service members. Testin has served as a Republican member of the Wisconsin State Senate since 2017, representing the state’s 24th Senate district after succeeding Howard Marklein. The proposed Senate Bill 985 continues this focus by seeking further legislative action related to veteran welfare initiatives.
