Sen. Patrick Testin, a Republican representing Wisconsin’s 24th Senate district since 2017, has recently shared updates on legislative developments and his views regarding the state’s political climate through a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter).
On February 17, 2026, Testin announced progress in tax policy negotiations: “I am pleased that the state Senate and Assembly were able to come together to agree on a plan to provide much-needed tax relief to the residents of Wisconsin. The ball is now in Gov. Evers’ court.”
The following day, he commented on Governor Tony Evers’ State of the State address: “In his final State of the State address last night, Gov. Tony Evers resembled a magician trying to distract Wisconsinites by using the disingenuous sleight-of-hand trick. While I appreciate Gov. Evers pointing out all the bipartisan wins we’ve achieved over the past several”.
On February 19, Testin reported legislative successes from recent floor sessions: “I am proud that several of my legislative proposals were passed by the Wisconsin State Senate during yesterday’s floor session. Two of those bills are part of the Safeguard Wisconsin package, which is designed to protect our state from interference from foreign adversaries like”.
Testin was first elected to his current position in 2017 after succeeding Howard Marklein as senator for Wisconsin’s 24th district.
