Sen. Patrick Testin, a Republican representing Wisconsin’s 24th Senate district, recently used his Twitter account to share legislative updates and public health information with constituents.

On May 12, 2026, Testin announced that the Joint Committee on Finance had approved a bipartisan bill regarding the state’s budget surplus. In his tweet, he stated: “BREAKING NEWS: The Joint Committee on Finance just approved a bipartisan bill that returns a majority of the state’s budget surplus to taxpayers. Please click on the following link to read my full statement: https://t.co/IjxBnTUccA https://t.co/QgHfwIoN3T”.

The following day, on May 13, 2026, Testin shared information about tick activity in Wisconsin and its connection to Lyme disease prevention. He wrote: “Do you want to know the current tick activity in Wisconsin so you can better protect yourself from Lyme disease? Then please check out the latest tick surveillance report from the state Department of Health Services: https://t.co/wwABwtizPv. The site is updated every two weeks. https://t.co/eJOfnKbZ0Z”.

On May 14, 2026, Testin addressed opioid overdose deaths in Wisconsin and highlighted legislative efforts to address this crisis. He posted: “According to the latest reports, more than 16,600 Wisconsin residents have died from an opioid overdose since 2000. With the goal of reversing that trajectory and saving countless lives, the Wisconsin Legislature in 2013 created the Enhanced Prescription Drug Monitoring Program https://t.co/37txsMWpYc”.

Testin has served in the Wisconsin State Senate since his election in 2017 after replacing Howard Marklein as senator for District 24.
