Senator Ron Johnson, a Republican from Wisconsin who has served in the U.S. Senate since 2011, posted a series of tweets commemorating the late Charlie Kirk and commenting on vaccine safety concerns.
On October 14, 2025, Johnson marked the birthday of conservative activist Charlie Kirk by noting the Senate’s actions and the White House’s planned recognition. He wrote, “Today would’ve been Charlie Kirk’s 32nd birthday. The U.S. Senate has unanimously declared it a National Day of Remembrance, and President Trump will honor him with the Presidential Medal of Freedom today at the White House. Charlie’s impact and legacy will continue to live on.”
Later the same day, Johnson commented on the ceremony itself, stating, “The Presidential Medal of Freedom and a moving ceremony in the Rose Garden — a fitting honor for Charlie Kirk on his birthday.”
On October 16, Johnson shifted focus to vaccine safety, referencing a documentary by Del Bigtree. He tweeted, “I urge every parent — every American — to watch ‘An Inconvenient Study.’ @delbigtree does an excellent job exposing how the medical establishment has ignored parents whose children have suffered severe side effects from childhood vaccines. It’s well past time we start listening.”
Senator Johnson has a history of electoral success in Wisconsin, having won three consecutive U.S. Senate elections: in 2010 against Russ Feingold with 51.9% of the vote, in 2016 again defeating Feingold with 50.2%, and in 2022 prevailing over Mandela Barnes with 50.4% of the vote.
