Senator Ron Johnson used his social media platform this week to bring attention to Duchenne muscular dystrophy patients facing the loss of longstanding treatments.

On March 9, Johnson posted, “LIVE NOW! https://t.co/hODHCgCqi7”. The following day, he announced an upcoming press conference in support of affected patients: “I’m holding a press conference TODAY at 2 PM ET to stand with Duchenne muscular dystrophy patients who are losing access to treatment they’ve relied on for years.

Tune in live on my account today at 2 PM. https://t.co/nuzCyWpDeM” (March 10, 2026). Later that day, he followed up with another post: “LIVE NOW! https://t.co/A32kwv4X4u”.

Johnson, a U.S. Senator from Wisconsin, has held office since winning his first election in 2010 against Russ Feingold. He secured reelection victories in both 2016 and 2022, defeating Feingold again and Mandela Barnes respectively. In these elections, Johnson won by relatively narrow margins.
