Milwaukee home prices rose in May

The median sale price of a home sold in May in Milwaukee rose by $5,000 while total sales decreased by 1.8 percent, according to BlockShopper.com.

In May, there were 1,212 homes sold, with a median sale price of $150,000 - a 3.4 percent increase over the $145,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 1,234 homes sold in Milwaukee in May 2021.

The median sales tax in Milwaukee for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $2,981, approximately two percent of the median home sale price for May.
