The job recovery continues in Wisconsin – but not evenly across industries.
According to a new report from the Wisconsin Policy Forum, some sectors such as clothing stores have job numbers still far below 2019 levels, while others like warehousing and storage are far above – a result, the report says, of the rise in online commerce.

Other sectors, such as healthcare and social assistance, fared relatively well during the early months of the pandemic but showed declines in late 2021 that raise potential concerns – especially given the state’s aging population.
