Cousins Subs® has announced the allocation of $12,500 in grants through its Make It Better Foundation to support five nonprofit organizations in Wisconsin. The grants are intended to aid programs focusing on health and wellness, hunger, and youth education within communities served by Cousins Subs.
The recipients of these grants include the Boys & Girls Club of the Wausau Area, which will receive $2,500 for its Power Hour program under the Academic Success Initiative. This program provides homework assistance and learning activities for students from grades 3 to 12. Brown County Oral Health Partnership is another beneficiary, receiving $2,500 to enhance its school-based oral health program for at-risk children by supplying essential dental products.
DogsInVests has been awarded a $1,500 grant to assist in training service dogs for children and young adults with autism in south central and southeastern Wisconsin. Hope Street Ministry will use a $3,000 grant to transform its Greenspace into a tutoring center with educational materials and resources. Lastly, Project Home's onsite food pantry at Prairie Crossing affordable housing complex in Madison will benefit from a $1,000 grant for hygiene and cleaning supplies.
Justin McCoy, vice president of marketing at Cousins Subs stated: “Through the Make It Better Foundation, we’re able to support organizations that address critical needs and uplift our communities.” He emphasized that these grants contribute significantly to improving the well-being of individuals across Wisconsin.
Since its inception in 2013, the Make It Better Foundation has contributed over $1.2 million to nearly 230 nonprofit organizations through various forms of support including monetary donations and scholarships.
