On Thursday, U.S. Senator Ron Johnson from Wisconsin joined Senator Roger Marshall and others in issuing a statement following the FDA's decision to ban Red No. 3 from foods, dietary supplements, and ingested medicines.

The Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) Caucus is an initiative aimed at collaborating with the Trump Administration to improve nutrition and access to affordable, nutrient-dense foods and primary care. The caucus intends to tackle chronic diseases' root causes alongside President Trump and HHS nominee RFK Jr.

Senator Johnson expressed his approval of the FDA's action by stating, "I’m pleased to see the FDA stand up to pressure from food companies and ban a substance that harms the public, especially our children. We must confirm RFK Jr. so we can expose any harmful practices in the food and drug industry and hold our federal health agencies accountable."
