MPS is reminding families that the deadline for kindergarten enrollment for Fall 2025 is approaching. Parents should submit applications by March 17, 2025, to secure their preferred school choice. The district offers a range of programs across nearly 160 schools, including options such as half- and full-day kindergarten, specialty schools, Montessori, language immersion, bilingual education, special education, Advanced Placement (AP), and International Baccalaureate (IB).

"MPS is proud to have Chromebooks for all students to maximize learning," a spokesperson stated. The district emphasizes the importance of caring and licensed teachers in creating supportive learning environments. School staff are committed to assisting children with various aspects of their education, including art, music, physical education, college and career preparation.

Parents looking to enroll children in grades 1 through 12 are encouraged to do so promptly. Although high school enrollment occurred in October with many seats already filled, families can still enroll students until August 1, 2025. Available spots will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

To enroll, families can visit mpsmke.com/enroll or go in person to MPS Central Services during business hours at the specified address in Milwaukee. It's important to ensure that children meet Wisconsin's requirement of completing 5-year-old kindergarten before entering first grade.
