Students and staff from Trowbridge Street School of Great Lakes Studies will temporarily relocate due to lead dust concerns. The Milwaukee Health Department has mandated this move to allow for a thorough cleaning of the school premises.

Classes for the 243 students will resume at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Lifelong Learning (WCLL) located at 1017 N. 12th St., starting Monday, March 3, 2025. MPS aims to maintain normal school operations during this period, ensuring that students receive meals and transportation services as needed. Families requiring transport assistance can contact (414) 475-8922.

Once the cleaning is completed and the health department confirms safety through retesting, students and staff will return to Trowbridge.

For health-related inquiries, families are advised to consult their healthcare providers or visit the Milwaukee Health Department’s Home Environmental Health webpage. They may also call (414) 286-2165 for further information. Additional details can be found on the MPS Lead Report webpage.

Questions concerning school activities or programs should be directed to Trowbridge staff at (414) 294-1900.
