Virtual Zoom Course: Tai Chi for Resiliency: Confronting Physician and Advanced Practice Clinician Burnout (for Community Members)
This course is open to Physicians and Advanced Practice Clinicians only.
Overview: To enhance your sense of resiliency and to confront the ultimate life-threatening challenges of burnout, this course provides physicians and APC's with the self-empowering philosophy and martial art practice principles of Tai Chi and QiGong. Leave with a restored sense of life satisfaction and reconnect to your life's passion and purpose.
Instructor: John Burns DPT, MSOM, Dipl-AC
Items to note: Please dress comfortably and have approximately an 8'x8' clear space for movements. Position your webcam or smart device in such a way to have entire body on screen for instructor feedback on movements.
Class will be taught live via Zoom. The day prior to class you will receive a Zoom invite to your email. Technical support is available by phone (M, T, W, F from 9:00 am- 4:00 pm, call (414)333-5375. Please download Zoom conferencing software prior to the first day of class.

Do you frequently have pains in your heart and chest?
Do you often feel faint or have spells of severe dizziness?
Has a doctor ever said your blood pressure is too high?
Has your doctor ever told you that you have a bone or joint problem, such as arthritis, that has been aggravated by exercise, or might be made worse with exercise?
Is there a good physical reason not mentioned here why you should not follow an activity program even if you wanted to?
Are you over age 65 and not accustomed to vigorous exercise?
