If you’ve wanted an at-home COVID-19 test but you’ve hesitated about paying for them, especially with online scams, now is the time to get some free tests.
Each home can order four at-home tests, the Biden administration announced. In Wisconsin, which lags national vaccination numbers, people are urged to take advantage of the program.
“COVID-19 is one of the most formidable enemies America has ever faced. We’ve got to work together, not against each other. Get your vaccine. Get your booster. Wear your mask,” President Joe Biden tweeted.
The administration is buying 1 billion tests. They are available with no shipping costs and you don’t need to enter a credit card number.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) this month updated its recommendations for COVID prevention. The organization is still recommending wearing a mask in public, and its recent guidance details the types of mask that are more effective.
More than three-quarters (76.4%) of Americans have received one dose and 64% are fully vaccinated. In Wisconsin, those numbers are 70% and 63.25%, respectively, according to a vaccine tracking site.
