On Tuesday, U.S. Senator Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) addressed the Senate floor to criticize a border bill proposed by Democrats. According to Sen. Johnson, the bill fails to secure the border and exacerbates the issue by making the processing and dispersal of illegal immigrants more efficient.
Sen. Johnson accused Democrats of advocating for an open border and negotiating on this bill solely for political cover. He emphasized that President Biden possesses the authority to secure the border but chooses not to exercise it.
"Democrats want an open border and are only negotiating for political cover," said Sen. Johnson.
