This Fall 2024 issue features a story on the changes in NCAA college basketball since the new rules for "Name, Image, and Likeness" were implemented in summer 2021. These rules allow student-athletes to monetize their time on campus. In March 2024, Milwaukee Athletics named the 'Panther Future Fund' as its official collective to support NIL deals for men's basketball student-athletes. The PFF is an NIL collective launched in 2023 and led by Joah Tucker, an MKE men's basketball alum.

The story is written by Gary D'Amato, a former longtime sportswriter and columnist for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. D'Amato joined the staff as a feature writer for The Roar Report in September 2018.
