Milwaukee men's basketball announces Horizon League schedule for upcoming season

The Milwaukee men's basketball team will begin its 2024-25 Horizon League conference season in early December. The first game is scheduled against Cleveland State on December 5 at the UWM Panther Arena. Following this, Milwaukee will face Green Bay on December 11 before returning to non-league play.

According to the Horizon League schedule released by the league office, the Panthers will conclude their regular season with four out of six final games at home from February into March.

Milwaukee will end the 2024 calendar year with a home game against IU Indianapolis on December 29. The New Year begins with a three-game road trip starting with Oakland on January 2. Oakland had an impressive last season, finishing 24-12 and winning the Horizon League Tournament Championship over Milwaukee.

The road trip continues with games against Detroit Mercy on January 4 and Purdue Fort Wayne on January 8. The latter finished their previous season with a record of 23-13.

The Panthers' next three games are at home, where they will host Green Bay on January 11, Youngstown State on January 17, and Robert Morris on January 19. Last season, Green Bay ended with an 18-14 record, Youngstown State went 22-10 overall, and both teams faced elimination by Milwaukee in the Horizon League Tournament.

January concludes with away games at Wright State (18-14 last season) on January 22 and Northern Kentucky (18-15) on January 24. February starts with a home game against Purdue Fort Wayne on February 2.

Subsequent road trips include IU Indy on February 5 and Cleveland State on February 8. The team returns home to face Wright State again on February 14 and Northern Kentucky on February 16.

The final road games for Milwaukee are against Youngstown State on February 21 and Robert Morris on February 23 before ending the regular season at home. Their last two games will be against Oakland on February 27 and Detroit Mercy on March 1 at UWM Panther Arena.

Details of Milwaukee's nonconference schedule will be released next week. Season tickets have been available since earlier this summer, and fans can purchase them online or by phone. Game times and TV broadcast details are pending confirmation.

"Don't miss a second of the exciting action in the stands at UWM Panther Arena," stated in promotional material as fans anticipate another competitive season for Milwaukee in pursuit of top standing within the Horizon League.
