The Milwaukee men's track and field team concluded their first weekend of outdoor competition with a second-place finish at the Redbird Challenge. The Panthers also participated in the Raleigh Relays.

Head coach Andrew Basler noted, "Being the first outdoor meet of the season, there is always a learning curve adjusting to the weather."

At the Redbird Challenge, Bryant McLaughlin excelled in the high jump, achieving a height of 2.04m (6'8.25") and securing ninth place on Milwaukee's all-time list. Caden Thomas placed seventh in the same event with a height of 1.90m (6'2.75"). Tony Bretall claimed victory in the javelin throw with a distance of 54.34m (178'3"), marking it as the sixth farthest throw in program history.

Liam Richards finished fourth in javelin and took second place in the 110m hurdles with a time of 15.08 seconds. Ethan Criter and Jack Misky also competed in the championship heat, finishing sixth and seventh respectively.

In women's events, Samantha Satterfield recorded a second-place finish in shot put with a throw of 13.17m (43'2.5"). Jamie Pankrats followed closely behind in fourth place.

Evan Bartelsen achieved second place in pole vault by clearing 4.72m (15'5.75"). In other events, Zac Schmidt and Zach Weitgenant secured second and fourth places respectively in the 400m race.

Ian Nadolski and Trey Meier placed third and sixth respectively in the 5000m run, while Carter Eckhoff and Nate Griepentrog finished third and sixth respectively in the 1500m run.

Katie Sciarini completed her race third in women's 400m hurdles at 1:08.80, while Ethan Criter came fifth on men's side with a time of 59.47.

Other notable performances included Angelica Refinski finishing fourth in the women's 200m dash, Mercedes Herrera placing sixth in women's discus at 39.11m (128'3"), and Lucas Picco taking sixth place in men's 800m run.

Basler remarked on individual performances saying, "Zac Schmidt ran a great opening 400m dash...Tony Bretall connected on a great javelin throw to have a personal best."

In total points for this meet, Panther men scored second with 114 points; women ended up fourth scoring at 66 points.

Meanwhile at Raleigh Relays Anthony Campbell had an impressive start to his outdoor season finishing second during long jump covering distance over seven meters whilst Anelise Egge joined another top ten program list running her fastest ever timing across eight hundred meters clocking two minutes eleven seconds eighteen milliseconds positioning herself fourth historically within records books for university athletics club based out from Milwaukee region where she represents them proudly alongside teammates like aforementioned others too!

"Highlight today was Anthony Campbell," Basler said about Raleigh Relays performance adding how Anelise Egge's personal record capped off successful weekend efforts both individually collectively overall speaking terms regarding achievements attained by everyone involved therein!
