The Milwaukee women's cross country team concluded its 2024 season at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championships in Norton, Ohio. Anelise Egge highlighted the event by setting a new school record in the 6K race with a time of 20:41.7. This achievement adds to her records in both the 5K and 6K races this season.

Rachel Helm also delivered a strong performance, achieving the eighth-best 6K time in school history with a finish of 21:36.3. "I thought both programs took necessary steps compared to our team finishes at the Horizon League Championships," stated head coach Andrew Basler.

Cailin Kinas narrowly missed making it into the top-10 performances in Panther history but achieved a personal best of 21:48.3 to end her senior season on a high note. Coach Basler remarked, "Our top three had really nice lifetime bests, we had three other ladies who ran over 30 seconds faster than the conference championships." He noted that these achievements were significant given the wet and challenging course conditions.

Ally Schmitz completed her run with a time of 23:05.5, followed by Anna Gallagher's season-best of 23:17.8, rounding out Milwaukee's scorers. Sara Jochims improved significantly from her league championship performance, finishing in 23:27.2.

Overall, the Panthers placed 25th out of 32 teams in their region, accumulating a total of 665 points.
