The Milwaukee women's tennis team began their 2025 season with a victory against Bradley, securing a 5-2 win at Parkside Fitness in Pekin, Illinois. The Panthers, now holding a 1-0 record, claimed all available doubles points and won four out of six singles matches.

Head coach Mark Goldin expressed satisfaction with the team's performance: "It was a great start to the season for the Panthers. We have been working hard to prepare and came out ready to go for the first match. We didn't give away free points and looked to attack every chance we got all day long."

Bradley's depleted roster allowed Milwaukee to dominate in doubles play. Nadiia Konieva and Nikola Nikolajeva triumphed in the No. 1 doubles spot, while Sara Simonova and Laure Razet secured victory at No. 2 doubles with identical scores of 6-3.

In singles competition, Simonova defeated Madi Rogers at No. 4 with scores of 6-1, 6-3. Emilia Durska achieved a decisive win over Compassion Tsai at No. 5, finishing with scores of 6-3, 6-1. Razet clinched the team win by defeating Ruby Tseng at No. 3 singles with scores of 6-4, 6-4.

Goldin praised his players' efforts: "It was great to see Sara and Laure winning both singles and doubles," he said. "Laure Razet was huge in finishing off the clinching point at No. 3 singles."

Looking ahead, Goldin is eager for their next challenge: "But it will be a quick turnaround – next up, Providence for our home opener tomorrow. I love competing on court with this team and can't wait to get back at it tomorrow."

The Panthers are set to host Providence for their home opener at River Glen Elite starting at 10 a.m.
