The Wisconsin Lutheran Choir and Chamber Choir from Wisconsin Lutheran College will embark on a concert tour across Illinois, Ohio, Virginia, and Washington, D.C., from March 7 to March 14. The tour will culminate with a performance at the Schwan Concert Hall in Milwaukee on March 16 at 7:30 p.m.

Under the leadership of Dr. James A. Nowack, the choirs will present a 90-minute program featuring sacred music spanning various periods and genres. The repertoire includes works by composers such as Felix Mendelssohn, John Amner, Heinrich Schütz, F. Melius Christiansen, Z. Randall Stroope, and Ola Gjeilo. A highlight of the concert is Elaine Hagenberg’s "You Do Not Walk Alone," which has been noted for its comforting qualities during uncertain times.

The Chamber Choir, consisting of 24 voices, will perform pieces like William Billings’ "I Am The Rose of Sharon," Abbie Betinis’ "Carol Of The Stranger," Philip W.J. Stopford’s "There Is No Rose," and Randall Thompson’s "The Last Words Of David."

Dr. James Nowack has directed choral activities at Wisconsin Lutheran College since 1994 and is known for his work as a guest conductor, clinician, and adjudicator. Under his guidance, the choir has gained recognition throughout the Midwest.
