Milwaukee Volleyball has announced that Carol Herrero will join the team in the fall of 2025. Head coach Susie Johnson shared the news on Tuesday, expressing enthusiasm about Herrero's addition to the Panthers.

Herrero is a 5'10" outside hitter from Iowa Western Community College, a member of the National Junior College Athletics Association in Council Bluffs, Iowa. During her time with the Reivers, she participated in 70 matches over two seasons. She recorded 815 kills, averaging 3.33 per set, and contributed 58 service aces. Defensively, Herrero achieved over 540 digs and made 73 blocks.

"We are very excited to add Carol to our program," said Johnson. "She is a versatile athlete and can pass, play defense, and attack. She also has a lot of in-match experience coming from a strong junior college program which will be extremely helpful to our program."

Herrero earned First Team All-Region honors twice during her tenure at Iowa Western and was among the national leaders in kills at the NJCAA level. In her most recent season, her team won 20 matches and reached the Midwest A District Semifinal.

Academically, Herrero was recognized as an All-Region Academic Team honoree for both years at Iowa Western.

Before attending Iowa Western, Herrero played at Colégio Eduardo Gomes in Brazil. There she was part of regional championship teams in 2019 and 2017 and served as team captain with São Caetano in 2021.

At Milwaukee, Herrero plans to pursue studies in nutrition and dietetics.

She joins other new recruits Braylin Bosetski, Julia Kellner, Josie Noble, Ella Schuetz, Samantha Vanda, and fellow transfer Annie Eschenbach as part of Milwaukee's volleyball program.
